Dr Philip Fischer qualified as a pharmacist in 1998. He completed his medical degree MBChB in 2003. He then specialised in Orthopaedic Surgery and acquired his M.Med (Ortho) in 2013.
He started in private practice in 2014 with special interests in Arthroplasty, Arthroscopic surgery, sport and related soft tissue injuries.
He is currently performing surgery at Life Rosepark Hospital, Emoyamed Hospital and Cure Day Clinic.
Dr Bukkie Human
MBChB M.Med (Ortho)
Dr Bukkie Human completed his medical degree MBChB in 2003. He completed his post- graduate studies in Orthopaedic Surgery and acquired his M.Med (Ortho) in 2013.
He started in private practice in 2014 with special interests in Spinal surgery, Arthroplasty, Arthroscopic surgery as well as hand surgery.
He is currently performing surgery at Life Rosepark Hospital, Emoyamed Hospital, Mediclinic Bloemfontein and Cure Day Clinic.

Spinal pathology
Spinal Pathology can be anything from a degenerative spine or scoliosis to more acute complex trauma. There are many different levels of spinal pathology, along with many symptoms, ranging from tingling or numbness to acute pain.

Joint replacements
Joint replacement means removing part or all of a damaged joint and installing hardware to allow the limb to move without pain or limitations. The replacement hardware is called a prosthesis. These are made of plastic, metal, ceramic, or a combination of these materials.
Key Hole surgery
An arthroscopy is a type of keyhole surgery used to diagnose and treat problems with joints. It's most commonly used on the knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hips. Arthroscopy equipment is very small, so only small cuts in the skin are needed.

Fischer Human Orthopaedic Surgical Practice was established in 2014 by 2 Orthopaedic Surgeon friends with the aim of giving the population of the Free State, Northern Cape and Lesotho the opportunity to be treated with dignity, compassion and empathy in all Orthopaedic related diseases and injuries.
